Elizabeth (Liz) is an ASHA-certified speech language pathologist who is currently licensed in the states of Michigan and Florida. She earned her bachelor’s degree in linguistics from Oakland University in 2016, and in 2019 earned her master’s degree in speech-language pathology from Eastern Michigan University. She was also a recipient of ASHA’s Award for Continuing Education (ACE) in 2023. Over the past several years, she has gained considerable experience with patients across the lifespan in a variety of settings, including skilled nursing, outpatient rehab, schools, and private pediatric clinics.
Liz believes in client-centered care focused on providing functional treatment for clients and their families that is both flexible and “fun”. She is passionate about providing clients of all ages with the tools they need to communicate meaningfully and effectively through implementation of the most up-to-date evidence-based practices. Liz loves the variety that comes with the field of speech pathology and has a special interest in phonological disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, early language development, natural language acquisition, aphasia and swallowing disorders.
When she’s not treating clients, taking continuing education classes or reviewing the latest research, you can find Liz going for a run, reading a good book, tending to flowers in her garden, playing the piano, or spending time with her family. She is also an avid hockey and baseball enthusiast!
